The mask is easy to make and requires minimal materials, making it a perfect weekend project or a fun activity to do with your kids.
Kids will have so much making and playing with this woodland squirrel mask, and this mask can be made out of paper or card, but I recommend card if you need the mask to be more sturdier.
It`s also the perfect autumn/fall craft for kids, the nights are get darker earlier, kids tend to be stuck indoors more and probably are getting bored easier, I know my kids are.
Did I mention that this DIY Squirrel mask is also printable, so you can print it off as many times as you need, it`s a very inexpensive craft to make and you probably have all the materials you need in your home to make it.

First of all you need to download the woodland squirrel template from Greenpixiedesigns
Materials You Will Need
To make this exciting Squirrel mask, you will need the following items:
- A printable Squirrel mask, which you can find and download from our Etsy shop, Greenpixiedesigns
2.Thin Card Stock that can go through your printer or Quality A4 Paper.
3. A pair of scissors.
4. Elastic Cord or string to hold the mask in place.
5. Optional, you could get super creative and add feathers, or fake fur to your woodland squirrel and other embellishments to make your squirrel look awesome.
Instructions
Once you have all the necessary materials, follow these steps:
- Download and print off the masks.
- Cut around the outside of the masks and cut out the eye holes very carefully.
- Make a small hole in the small white circles either side of the mask for the elastic cord or string to thread through.
- Measure with the elastic or string to see how much will you need to fit around the mask wearer’s head, and remember to leave a few extra inches or centimeters.
- Thread the elastic or string through the small holes at one side of the mask and join up through the other side. Double check to ensure it’s the correct size to fit the wearer’s head before tying it off.
