Welcome to this stunning DIY Jungle Animal craft that kids will love making and playing with.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process of making six different animals: a giraffe, a lion, a zebra, an elephant, a tiger, and a hippo. By the end of the project, you’ll have a mini Jungle right in your living room!
I am excited to guide you through an exciting journey into the world of Zoo animals paper craft.
This journey will transport you to the African savannah, home to some of the most iconic animals on the planet.
This Jungle Animals craft would also look great at decorations in a jungle themed children`s bedroom or nursery.
Let’s get started.
What You’ll Need
Before we embark on this journey, let’s make sure we have all the essentials ready. Here’s what you’ll need:
- African Animals Templates from Greenpixiedesigns
- A Printer
- Quality A4 Paper or card stock. I recommend around 220gsm as this will go through most printers and will be perfect for this project.
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Keep in mind that some parts can be fiddly, so adult supervision might be needed depending on the age of the child. Let’s get down to the fun part of putting it all together.
Getting Started
After you have downloaded the two PDF files:
- Zoo Animals/African Animals
- Instructions file on how to make them
You need to print off the 6 pages of templates from your device or you can take the file to your local printers.
Now, let’s start with the giraffe:
- Cut out all the parts of the giraffe
- Fold and glue the tag on the body to the underneath side on the opposite side of the body to make a cone shape.
- Now glue the head on the top of the cone, making sure the join is at the back.
- Next, glue the legs on at the front. You can glue the legs on first instead of the head, it doesn’t matter which order these two get glued on.
